We recorded the original composition - called Sweet Singing in the Choir – a few weeks ago to raise much needed funds, as well as hopefully a few spirits!
lyrics
Verse 1
All hail the ringing of the liberation bell, whilst we
heed the echoes of the gong
And when those social chasms form, we must
all come together in song
(With the/see the) rising of the sun
(and the) running of the deer,
A star of hope is shining through the fear
Sweet singing in the choir.
Chorus
From the heart of the
Stolen arts comes a
Sacred part
(Sweet singing in the choir) x3
From the heart; stolen art
Can you hear it loud and clear?
Verse 2
We’ll take a walk through the glitter and the gold
And the dust of the fallen in the air
And when those city streets are cold
With the frost and the fire of despair
Middle 8
As the snow falls down
And winter’s breath is held no more
Outro
There’s such sweet singing in the choir
